Travel companions.

My daughter flew to IN last week with her daddy—it was the first time I saw her off. He had a business meeting and Olivia got to go along and have some Grandma time :). The morning of her flight I whipped up this pencil case and lap desk to take along with her. I used this tutorial for the pencil case (which is really well written and easy to follow) and got the lap desk idea from a friend of mine—just measure two pieces of fabric about the same size as your clip board, make a little pillow and hot glue it to the back of the clip board, simple as that! Both projects are super easy and quick and would make a great gift. My daughter was excited to have something special for the plane ride and even ended up using the lap desk as a pillow...came in more handy than I thought!
